The Idea

Reece felt deeply frustrated about what was happening to the natural world. He decided he couldn’t just sit back and watch—he had to do something.

Reece began thinking, "What if I could use affiliate marketing to fund environmental projects?" and after some calculations realised that if he could make it work, it had the potential to create real, large-scale impact. So, while still in school, he started experimenting over the next few years—building websites, testing ideas, and figuring out how to turn this vision into reality.

Our Story

I created Riki because I was frustrated by the destruction of nature, and by the fact that we know we can do better. I couldn’t stand by and watch while the world was being destroyed. I had to do something.

I’ve always cared deeply about the environment, constantly thinking of ways to create change. At 16, while researching ways to make money, I came across affiliate marketing—and it clicked. What if I used an affiliate site to fund environmental projects?

I tried to build the platform while still in school, but other commitments got in the way. After finishing school, I traveled through Asia and lived in Australia. In February 2023, I left Australia determined to stop thinking and start creating real solutions. I experimented—trying to design a cheaper solar panel to make renewable energy more accessible—but I kept coming back to the idea of Riki. I knew it had huge potential. I knew a platform that unites people to create real impact was what I needed to build.

The environmental crisis can feel overwhelming, but collective action is powerful. Every purchase through Riki, every project funded, and every person who joins us brings the world closer to a sustainable future.

We’ve changed the world before, and we can do it again. But we need you to be part of it.

Our Story & Our Impact

The Work Begins

Reece returned home from Australia in February, after deciding to focus on creating a solution for the environment. He spent time analysing the biggest environmental challenges and dedicated months to trying to make solar energy more affordable by designing a more efficient solar panel.

By September, after encountering some challenges with the physics of the new solar panel invention, he returned to the original idea he had always believed in—using affiliate marketing to support impactful environmental projects. That’s when the vision for Riki truly began to take shape and the work began.

All-in

in 2024, Reece spent nearly every day building the website, networking with potential brand partners, and planning the path forward. He attended the Blue Earth Summit in October to meet and connect with potential charity partners to support and collaborate with.

Among the "many great people" he met at the Blue Earth Summit, he met a branding expert, and after several meetings and much thought, decided that the best next step was to work with a branding agency to build a solid foundation for the company. In a leap of faith, he borrowed money from his mum and spent the next 3 months building the brand’s foundations with Hornbeam.

Where We Are Now

Now, as of March 2025, we're preparing to get our first investor on board. We plan to go live in July this year, and we aim to be supporting our first environmental projects by October.
